Sourwood Honey 16oz
Sourwood Honey is rarely sold outside the area in which it is produced because of supply and demand. Sourwood honey is light to medium in color. Usually mild in flavor, this honey varies from year to year. It is considered one of the best honeys by many and is produced mainly in Southern Appalachia. Sourwood is a tree that grows 40 to 60 feet and blooms from late June through July. The Sourwood tree gets its name due to its leaves being bitter to protect against insects.
